WEConnect International is pleased to announce that its Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE) Certification is now available in Singapore to women-owned businesses that are ready to scale and grow in global value chains. WBE Certification offers a formal verification for businesses that are at least 51% owned, managed, and controlled by one or more women. WEConnect International’s certification is recognized by its 80 corporate members, primarily Fortune 500 companies, that have committed to sourcing more from women-owned businesses globally. These corporations represent over $1 trillion in annual purchasing power.
Thanks to the invaluable support from corporate sponsors, including ABSA, Accenture, Citi, Cummins, EY, ExxonMobil, Hilton, IBM, Ingersoll Rand, Intel, Johnson & Johnson, Monsanto, and P&G, WEConnect International in South Africa held its most successful annual conference to-date on June 1st, 2018. Hosted by EY in Sandton for the third consecutive year, the event delivered a fast-paced and unforgettable day of exciting presentations, innovative demonstrations, and discussion.

On May 25, 2018, twenty Indian women entrepreneurs gathered at the Procter & Gamble (P&G) Campus in Mumbai to receive certificates and celebrate their graduation from the inaugural Women Businesses Empowerment Program (WBEP). As a part of P&G’s longstanding commitment to economic inclusion around the globe, the WBEP serves as a key milestone after the company’s recent announcement to source $30 million USD from women-owned business across India over the next three years.
