Kgobati Webinar 1

Time: 10:00 - 11:00 (CAT)

Date: Tuesday, 28 April 2020

Description: While the world has always been a world of change, process, and progress, we are now more aware of change than ever before. Up to a few weeks ago, we as women business leaders grappled with how do to lead and fortify our businesses with artificial intelligence and machine learning. Not many of us saw COVID19 coming. This signals that change itself is changing, occurring more rapidly in a more disruptive way.

Change is typically upsetting, disturbing, and challenging. We can make matters worse by adding fear, anger, frustration, stress, and thus become rigid, inflexible, stuck, and limited.  Lessons from reviewing previous disruptions show that the impact of disruption on different businesses - varies, depending on the quality of the leadership’s response to the situation. You as a leader can either freeze, turn away, or confront and step up to the challenge. The difference in the outcome of these choices is profound and tangible.

Learning and practicing resilience influences your leadership positively. The quality of your resilience is the quality of your leadership!

This webinar will be led by certified WBE, Kgobati Magome (CI Coaching), and moderated by Jazz Mbanjwa (Zenzele People Professionals and JazzOptimism.Com).

webinar sa apr27

Time: 10:00 - 11:00 (CAT)

Date: Thursday, 30 April 2020

Description: The impact of COVID-19  on small businesses is proving to be substantial. The  South Africa lockdown which began on March 27 has had many businesses in crisis from the first week – the continuation and unknown months ahead has left many entrepreneurs in anxiety. Many economic stimulus packages have been announced from the private and public sectors; this includes the varied South African government SME funding schemes as well as Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF) support payments to employees.

Some funding relief measures have not been available for all sectors; although the UIF applications are open, there has been a delay in payments due to a large number of applications. This webinar is aimed at business owners who need help from finance experts to understand some of the relief/assistance options available for SMEs. The experts will help you to make sense of  the information being shared on numerous platforms and allow you to determine which option best suits your business by helping you understand and take the right action:

  • Identifying the schemes and funds currently available that are providing relief/assistance
  • Explaining the jargon used for many funds and stimulus packages
  • Detailing the relief measures South African Revenue Services (SARS) is offering businesses
  • Helping you to unpack the R500 billion support packages

This webinar will be led by certified WBEs, Charmel Flemming (F Twelve), and moderated by Rea Mafoko (Talana Chartered Accountants).

This year we were hit by a global pandemic. In turn, this has disrupted the ways in which we go about our daily lives. Countries and governments across the globe have implemented social distancing, self-isolation, and quarantines. Because of this, we tend to focus on the uncertainty of our circumstances surrounding COVID-19.
Human beings are wired to interact. Our connections to other people help us learn and grow, and form our understanding of who we are and the world we live in. We must learn to be free to engage more, be part of a group, absorb from others and harmonise with group values.   In this session, we delve into lockdown positivity, where we learn to understand social connectedness as essential to our survival, especially during these trying times.

Jazz Mbanjwa founder, executive director and Mindfulness Dialogue Lead  of Zenzele People Professionals and JazzOptimism.Com, and  will help us to understand how we can utilise this valuable lockdown time to re-engineer and plan for a brighter; smarter and more resourceful future to boost our economy and livelihoods. The session will be moderated by Kgobati Magome, CEO & Executive, CI Coaching.
