8 September 2016, Intel Corporation in South Africa hosted a Roundtable Discussion for women business enterprises and corporations. Deaneesha Govender, Chairperson of WEConnect International in South Africa Advisory Council and Commodity Manager for Regional Strategic Sourcing from Intel Corporation facilitated the discussion. WEConnect International corporates in attendance were Lynne Cuzen, Category Lead for Technology and Talent Services from EY; Natalie Musgrave, Media Purchases and Supplier Diversity from Procter & Gamble (P&G); and Jacob Pretorius, Procurement Manager from Johnson & Johnson (JnJ).

WEConnect International in South Africa, in partnership with M. Prem Inc and B Inspired, hosted a Legal Bootcamp on 23 September 2016, with the venue provided by EY in Johannesburg. This training and development session for Small, Medium and Micro-sized Enterprises (SMMEs) focused on application of commercial and corporate law to businesses and HR best practices. More than 40 WEConnect International registered and certified women business owners (WBOs) and Women Business Enterprises (WBEs) attended the session.
(September 1, 2016) WEConnect International corporate member Intel will host a WBE Roundtable discussion on September 8, 2016. The agenda will focus on successes and challenges of doing business with corporations. The objective is to have an open discussion with WEConnect International members locally and share feedback, thoughts and ideas in preparing for 2017.
