Date: Tuesday, 5 May 2020
Time: 10:00 - 11:00 (CAT)
Description: COVID-19 has become a global pandemic, throwing many small, medium, and large businesses into financial crisis. The uncertainty in local and global markets makes it difficult for financial management and planning, as businesses assess their risks and vulnerability from both an operational and a financial standpoint.
The webinar is designed to help business owners to deal with business finances in times of crisis for short, medium, and long-term needs. No matter the nature of your business, a solid grasp of finance fundamentals will help you understand – and be able to articulate – the financial position of your organisation. It will also give you the ability to plan and produce projections for the uncertain economic conditions. The webinar will cover:
- Liquidity analysis (for example, will we be able to pay our suppliers or employees?)
- Understanding how your accountant can assist
- Reviewing the impact of the shutdown on your finances (business and personally) and actions to minimize the negative impact
- Cash-flow management and cost-cutting
The webinar will be led by certified WBEs, Rea Mafoko (Talana Chartered Accountants), and moderated by Charmel Flemming (F Twelve).
