PyJ Recreación y Eventos is a woman-owned company founded in 2010 which organizes, consults and manages social, recreational events, and weddings. They operate with the support of more than 40 suppliers of all kinds and a staff of five people.
PyJ Recreación y Eventos was certified in May 2014 and, in 2015, participated in a matchmaker Business Roundtable organized by WEConnect International during which they made the initial contact with corporate member Sodexo. "Being a certified company opened the doors for us and gave us the recognition we needed. We definitely owe the interest to be open to negotiate to our certification," states Paola.
One of the biggest challenges then faced by PyJ Recreación y Eventos was serving four of their business accounts at the same time (Coca-Cola, Hospira, Hologic and Florida Corporate), each one with their own requirements, schedules and individual managers, coordinating with all of them and meeting each accounts´ specific requirements. Says Paola:
"Definitely teamwork is essential and provided us excellent results. When Sodexo contacted us we were working on other events, but organization is our strength, so we delegated tasks and thank God we got the task done successfully. The client was satisfied without neglecting the projects we were already working on."
In particular, Sodexo appreciated the personalized attention (visits to each of these events and conversations with each manager before each event), the speed of response to supplier courses and other requirements, and the enthusiasm with which the team worked with each client.
